New year Yoga afternoon in Suffolk

  • Saturday 8th January 2022, 1.30 to 4.45pm
  • Hadleigh Guildroom, The Guildhall, Hadleigh, Ipswich, IP7 5DN
  • £35 including refreshments by Vegan Cookiio

New year. New time for you.

Take time this January to refresh and renew by joining me and fellow British Wheel of Yoga teacher Holly Bedford for an afternoon of Yoga practice, meditation and relaxation.

Whether you are a new or experienced student of Yoga, everyone is welcome at this mini-retreat in the gorgeous setting of the Hadleigh Guildroom in Suffolk.

Working with the theme of ‘transformation’, we’ll be exploring postures, breathwork, meditation and relaxation practices to help you experience the holistic body and mind benefits of Yoga, enabling you to move towards stillness.

Light refreshments are included, with cold and warm drinks available, as well as delicious vegan baking from Vegan Cookiio.

You’ll also have the opportunity to talk to us about establishing your own home practice of daily mindfulness to improve wellbeing.

We look forward to helping you start 2022 feeling restored.

Your teachers

Holly Bedford is a mum, school teacher and British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher. She’s been practicing Yoga for over 20 years and teaching Yoga for over 10. During that time, her style has evolved from purely Hatha to incorporate many styles of Yoga and movement. She says, “Basically, I take the best bits from different styles of Yoga to tailor each class to my students’ goals and preferences.”

One of Holly’s strengths is the ability to vary her offering on the spot. Whether you’re a long-term Yogi or a newbie, Holly will welcome you with all the support and guidance you need. She aims to teach with joy, understanding, compassion and dedication.

Holly believes that strength, balance and flexibility are key not just in a Yoga practice, but also in everyday life. It all helps to keep our joints supple, to nurture our mental wellbeing and to increase our resilience for coping with change. As she likes to quote from Charles Darwin: “It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”

Catherine Rolfe is a British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher who teaches Hatha style classes with an inclusive staged approach. She encourages students to balance effort and ease in their practice, knowing that without challenge there can be no change.

Catherine aims to teach with warmth, mindfulness and kindness and hopes that students will experience the joy, empowerment and solace she has found in a holistic Yoga practice. She is dedicated to being a lifelong student of Yoga and has completed additional trainings, including mindfulness meditation teacher training with the renowned Cyndi Lee.
