About this class
Strength enhances all areas of our lives and is part of the balance of Hatha Yoga, allowing us to stretch safely.
We often associate Yoga with relaxation and rest, but it is also energising, empowering and enlivening, especially when we work with strength as our focus.
Breathing practices are used to stretch and strengthen the muscles of breathing. Components of different postures will be explored in detail, as strength is built by holding positions to target specific areas of the body.
Meditation follows the physical practices, in order to build strength, stability and clarity of mind. Class ends with relaxation and you will notice how easy it is to rest and be still after working with strength in Hatha Yoga.
This class is delivered with inclusiveness in mind; I teach a staged approach so whatever the student’s starting point there will be appropriate challenge available.
